A.SPIRE is the European Association which is committed to manage and implement the A.SPIRE Public-Private Partnership. The mission of A.SPIRE is to ensure the development of enabling technologies and best practices along all the stages of large scale existing value chain productions that will contribute to a resource efficient process industry.



ALICE

The European Technology Platform ALICE is set-up to develop a comprehensive strategy for research, innovation and market deployment of logistics and supply chain management innovation in Europe. The platform will support and assist and advise the European Commission into the implementation of the EU Program for research: Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe in the area of Logistics.












BBI

The Bio-based Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI JU) is a public-private partnership between the European Union and the Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC) aiming to strengthen and structure the bio-based industries sector in Europe. BBI JU's mission is to implement, under Horizon 2020 rules, the Strategic Innovation and Research Agenda (SIRA).

Welcome to the next short 3 event series – EU talk  

In this series we will have representatives from 3 EU organisations who will present the 2021 programs of Horizon Europe (EU funding program 2021-2027). We will have A.SPIRE (sustainability) ALICE (Mobility) and BBI (Bio Based technology) presenting their mission, objectives  and the program of upcoming 2021 fund research projects. A great opportunity to become aware about EU funding possibilities and get inspired for opportunities.

Àngels Orduña is the A.SPIRE’s Executive director since 2017 (www.spire2030.eu). She is a seasoned EU and international collaboration leader with proven track record championing success in technology and business development through multi-partner, multi-country and multidisciplinary collaboration. With an academic background in International Relations, she has managed and led a number of RDI projects in the EU and Canada in technology areas related to value chain productions and enabling technologies such as ICT, energy, renewables, environment, advanced materials or manufacturing. She has shown great ability to translate technological concepts to market opportunities and to link partners’ commitment through a win-win perspective.

Fernando Liesa

Dr. Fernando Liesa is Secretary General at ALICE, Alliance for Logistics
Innovation through Collaboration in Europe since its creation in 2013.

Fernando holds a PhD by University of Zaragoza (Spain) and is appointed member of the Digital Transport and Logistics
Forum launched in 2015 and of the Cooperative, Connected, Automated
and Autonomous Mobility expert group launched in 2019 both of them by
European Commission (DGMOVE). Fernando has worked for more than
19 years linked to the European Arena and Institutions.

Nelo Emerencia and Dirk Carrez 

After a career in the chemicals industry, Nelo Emerencia established himself as an
independent consultant in the chemical, biochemical and education fields. Since
April 2015 he fulfils the responsibilities of Director Programming at the Bio-based
Industries Consortium.

Dirk Carrez is the Executive Director of the Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC) and holds a PhD in Agricultural Sciences. He is also Vice-Chair of BIAC’s Biotechnology Committee, and was Vice-Chair of OECD’s Task Force for Industrial Biotechnology, and a member of the European Commission’s Biobased Products Expert Group.
